I am reading the intro to Arianna Huffington's book called THRIVE, and she describes at Steve Job's eulogy how his sister spoke of the memory of Steve slow dancing on the dance floor with his son at a family gathering. This made me think of the woman within each man, the part that's soft, tender, emotionally intelligent, tactile, empathetic, gentle and heart warmingly loving. These are often the parts that get knocked out of men as they are told to toughen up and man up, yet it is a part in all men that yearns to be expressed without ridicule or judgement. The image of two men dancing closely together as father and son, or brothers, as an expression of all barriers lowered, absolute openness and an honouring embrace of each other, how powerful is that? It surpasses sexuality and allows a soulful expression between two people.
