[vc_row][vc_column width="1/6"][/vc_column][vc_column width="2/3"][vc_empty_space height="40px"][vc_column_text]I had a conversation today with my friend Carmen around self-acceptance which led to this vlog. When there are parts of myself that I don't embrace fully, I struggle to even begin to contemplate that anyone else would embrace them. Even if others told me that it was acceptable I would always doubt and second guess them, because how could that possibly be when all I want to do is push this part of me away or pretend it doesn't exist? Have you ever noticed that it's not really possible to dislike a part of yourself at any point in time without disliking all of yourself in that moment?
I have found it to be vastly important acknowledge the parts of that don't work, that need nurturing in order to grow and catch up to maturity within the rest of me. I love myself enough to do this work, to come back to the drawing board and to patiently be present with what is.
One of the driving forces behind me being a teacher, consultant and mentor in the art of inner alchemy was born because I really believe that every person needs to have a space held for them that is soulful, nurturing, embracing and full of grounded wisdom, for them to share and transmute the things that aren't working for them.
